Tour Information
The Tour generally consists of around 14 events per year. mostly in the UK and two overseas in Portugal and Spain.
Players are all like minded golfers who want to play with others who have a similar handicap and more in common with due to the age group.
Many of the golfers who have frequented the tour have made friends for life. The social and competitive side of things are equally important to the vast majority of the players.
There is an Order Of Merit (OOM) which runs from November to October each year, where players can track their progress and position in the four OOM categories, which make it fair for all levels of golfer. details are as below:
The Order Of Merit (OOM) is a points system in 4no. categories:
- Mid-Amateur Gross
- Mid-Amateur Net
- Senior Gross
- Senior Net
Each event has a points system allocated to it and if you are a member of the tour, you will be awarded points based on your position and the points system for that event, whether it be 18 holes, 36 holes or 54 holes, which all have different points systems.
As mentioned, to qualify for the OOM, you have to join as a tour member, which is £80 for the season. you can do this by clicking on the "Tour membership" link above and completing the form.
Once you have joined the tour, you will benefit from reduced rates at each event.
